Trauma?
Trauma is a psychological and emotional response to a stressful event or a series of events. It is often known to leave individuals feeling fearful, unable to manage life as normal, out of control among other symptoms.
When should you reach out for help?
Trauma can leave a lasting impact physically and mentally. There are multiple reasons but most common traumatic situations include are when one has been in an accident, has faced violence or abuse, loses a loved one suddenly, witnesses disturbing events or natural disasters. Having said that, trauma is not the same for each person, one person’s traumatic events may not be traumatic for another person. However, trauma can be dealt with by opting for psychotherapy, being part of support groups, or other techniques.
